The 2023 Sierra 2500 has two powertrain possibilities. The gas-powered V8, the 6.6-liter system, produces 401 horsepower and comes with a six-speed auto transmission. The turbo-diesel V8 engine offers 445 horsepower and is linked to a 10-speed auto transmission. Four-wheel drive is optional with the lower trim levels and standard for the AT4 and Denali trims.
